Who we are

This website, ibizaislandvillas.com, is run by Ibiza Island Villas, which has rented private villas in Ibiza since 1994. For anything about your data, write to ibizajoe@icloud.com.

What we collect, and why

When you send an enquiry through the contact form, we receive the name, email address and message you type, plus any phone number, dates, number of guests and villa you choose to add. We use them only to reply to you, to quote a price and, if you go ahead, to arrange your stay. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before a booking (and, afterwards, the booking itself).

For security, the form also records your IP address and the time so that we can limit spam (a few enquiries per hour from one address). This is kept only briefly.

If you simply browse the villas, you do not have to give us anything.

Cookies and local storage

We do not use advertising, analytics or social-media tracking cookies. The site stores a few small items in your browser so that it works the way you left it:

• Saved villas: the villas you have hearted, so they are still there on your next visit.
• Sound: whether you switched the ambient sea sound on.
• Your cookie choice: so that we do not ask you again every time.

These stay on your own device and are not sent to us. You can clear them at any time in your browser settings, or change your cookie choice with the button below.

Other companies

The site loads its typefaces from Google Fonts, so your browser contacts Google to download them, and Google may see your IP address when it does. If you use the Send button on the contact form, the message goes through our own server and, where available, by email to us. We do not sell or rent your details to anyone, and we share them only with people who need them to look after your stay, such as the villa owner or manager.

How long we keep your details

We keep enquiries for as long as we need them to answer you and to keep a record of any booking, and then delete them. You can ask us to delete yours sooner at any time.

Your rights

Under the EU and Spanish data-protection rules (GDPR and the LOPDGDD) you can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, to delete it, to limit or object to how we use it, or to receive it in a portable form. Write to ibizajoe@icloud.com and we will answer within one month. If you are not happy with our answer, you can complain to the Spanish data-protection authority, the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (aepd.es), or to the authority in your own country.

If we change this page, the date at the top will change with it.
